From January 27 to February 3, 2019, the first short-term joint staff training event took place in Reggio Calabria, Italy.

Day 1 “Introduction: What is Digital paideia?” was intended to give participants general definition of digital education and general understanding what kind of processes and actions are included within new pedagogy of 21 century. The main objective of this introductory lesson to didactic education was the participants to be able to understand why having digital elements in education is important for students. How this methodological tactics will help them to achieve their goals.
Day 2 Educational challenges in 21 century. Digital pedagogy is legitimate and powerful tool for new trend in education, tool which can bring a change in schooling. Therefore, at the beginning in this lecture, we separated the elements of education in 21 century, which are assuring that the meaning and function of digital elements can be included in the learning methodology. And secondly, the learning 2.0 concept that is considering education as intellectual activity which is using visual images, social media and elements of web 2.0.
Day 3 Workshop: At this workshop the participants practiced how to use blogs in subjects in social sciences. And they had the opportunity for moderated group discussions and debates on every issue and dilemma that are arising from the topics in the lectures. Also, they had the opportunity to express their values, ideas and so on.
Day 4 Workshop. In this workshop participants explored how to be a teacher using right combination of information, design, technology and networks (creating wiki – knowledge). Through examples from around the world and through creating their own info graphics, the participants learned how to capture attention, present stories and take the audience through data journeys.
Day 5 Visit to local museum, institutions, reflection on the exchange, presentations by teachers, evaluation of the event.
*Results: In this lecture, the main functional goal was to support participants in developing their digital and pedagogical skills in understanding what is important in education in the 21 century. The specific goals and objectives were: to clearly identify a problem in the education processes, to find the root causes of the problem, to search for an evidence of the problem, to analyze whether there are other schools that are facing this problem and what is their approach, and how they can present evidence and recommendations for tackling the problem of education for digital natives.
